I'm an editor with Book World at The Washington Post. My work has appeared in Slate, the New Yorker, the Atlantic, Smithsonian, and other other publications. I was previously a host of Working, Slate's podcast about what people do all day. You can find past episodes here.

I hold a PhD in English from Cornell University, and I have taught at both Cornell and Georgetown, but I don't live that life anymore.
